Date: Sunday, September 16th
Day: 3 Flash N°: 17
Special stage: Marmaris 2 (Power Stage) Distance: 7.14 km
Weather: Hot and sunny
Road conditions: Dry
Car 1. OGIER/INGRASSIA
“It was completely flat out from me as well. Pure pace is different. I did everything I could
and we had a puncture on the rear left. It’s not what we wanted this weekend but, with
three rallies left, anything can happen.”
Car 3. SUNINEN/MARKKULA
“It’s been a great weekend for us with a good result. First target was to manage the car
and tyres and we did so we can be happy with the weekend. For next time we need the
pace to fight for the podium.”
Car 4. MIKKELSEN/JAEGER-SYNNEVAAG
“It was important to take the Manufacturers’ points. We already lost quite a few to Toyota.
I am looking forward to getting back really strong in Wales.”
Car 5. NEUVILLE/GILSOUL
“Absolutely flat out. We are fighting for the championship with some hard guys to beat. I
think we deserved to win this weekend to be honest. We were the fastest guys out there.
A small issue made us stop. Everyone in the team is working hard and we win together
and we lose together.”
Car 6. PADDON/MARSHALL
“Really happy to be on the podium for the first time this year. It was a tough rally and the
strategy paid off. Tough weekend got the team and not the result we wanted. I am sure
we will come back really strong for the last three rallies.”
Car 7. LATVALA/ANTTILA
“It’s definitely good. I am satisfied how the Power Stage went. The main thing was to get
the second place. It’s great for the team.”
Car 8. TÄNAK/JARVEOJA
“It was so difficult. On Friday we knew we had to be in the top five. We are happy. Since
the beginning this is not the event where the fastest guy will win we managed to do all the
rally with no issues no stops. It was a great effort from the team. There were no
weaknesses. Now it looks interesting. I guess we keep pushing,”
Car 10. ØSTBERG/ERIKSEN
“The driving was not so bad. It was more slippery than I expected. There are no lines from
the WRC 2 cars and it was more slippery than before. It was a positive day on a
disastrous weekend.”
Car 12. AL-QASSIMI/PATTERSON
“It’s quite interesting because it is one of the toughest that I have experienced in my
career. This is part of the game for sure. We did not have a good result this weekend but
the points are good.”
Car 32. KOPECKÝ/DRESLER
“This weekend to get to the finish. We had a good luck and a bad luck. Pontus had a bad
luck and had to retire. That is the sport and that is the life. We have five wins in the row
and the title is really close.”
Car 37. TEMPESTINI/ITU
“We are really happy. We did a good job. Our team give us a good car. It was a hard rally
and difficult stages for us and a lot for the car. We are quite happy with our pace and the
finish result.”
Car 39. INGRAM/WHITTOCK
“It has been an unbelievable experience, my first WRC rally in a four-wheel drive car. To
be on the podium is fantastic. The strategy of taking it easy has paid off.”
Car 64. TORN/SIKK
The former JWRC rally leader managed to complete SS15 with the loss of nearly half an
hour after he left the road. But the Junior title dream was over.
