Date: Sunday, September 16th
Day: 3 Flash N°: 16
Special stage: Gökçe Distance: 12.65 km
Weather: Warm and sunny
Road conditions: Dry and dusty
Car 1. OGIER/INGRASSIA
“There is no issue with tyre wear. We are missing a bit of pace compared to the Hyundais.
We know it will be difficult to win the Power Stage.”
Car 2. EVANS/BARRITT
Clocked into the stage five minutes early to start ahead of Ott Tänak for the Power Stage.
He earned a five-minute time penalty for his strategy to support team-mate Ogier. “We
were asked by the team to do it, so that’s it really.”
Car 3. SUNINEN/MARKKULA
“I have been trying to be safe. It’s difficult to drive safe with a good rhythm. One stage to
go and we need to bring the car home.”
Car 4. MIKKELSEN/JAEGER-SYNNEVAAG
“Everything is fine. It’s slippery. We have nothing really to lose.”
Car 5. NEUVILLE/GILSOUL
“It’s not what we wanted to do today but there is only one objective for us. We will push on
the Power Stage and see what we can do.”
Car 6. PADDON/MARSHALL
“It’s about playing the long game in this kind of rally. It’s a bit like being in no-man’s land.
You have to drive so slow and look after the car. It’s not easy but that is what you have to
do.”
Car 7. LATVALA/ANTTILA
“I have to say this stage you need to put some extra energy for the concentration. You
need to work with it to keep the focus.”
Car 8. TÄNAK/JARVEOJA
“We will see (for the Power Stage). One or two points could be available. If the conditions
are not too rough I will drive a bit better. Let’s see how it looks.”
Car 10. ØSTBERG/ERIKSEN
“We are trying. We want to learn things about the rally and try set-ups as well. We are
enjoying it.”
Car 12. AL-QASSIMI/PATTERSON
“A lot of loose gravel and rocks on the gravel. I had a small moment on the left-hander.
That’s part of not knowing. The stage is new to us. Let’s keep going. It’s points for the
team.”
Car 32. KOPECKÝ/DRESLER
“I don’t know if I will win WRC 2 after this. That depends if Pontus goes to Wales or Spain
or Australia. I don’t know.”
Car 64. TORN/SIKK
The JWRC rally leader is reported to be off the road in SS15.
