horrendous. We just tried to do our best.”

Stopped 25.2km into the stage to change a tyre. “I tried my best. I thought the damper was broken and
then I realised the tyre was punctured and we had to stop and change.”

Evans. Front right tyre destroyed at stage finish. “I didn’t know where. I was driving carefully in the
middle of the road. No risks, no cuts and then, suddenly, a puncture. I don’t know.”

“It’s not great, at the beginning, just dust. You could not see anything. I was cautious and tried to find a
rhythm. It feels very hot in here.”
